It's this time of the year again... I am getting ready to add a year to my age.

This year I will not come up with a list of "potential" gifts. Instead, I encourage each of you who wished to do so, to get something at http://www.oxfamunwrapped.com, at http://www.farmfriends.org.uk or at http://www.greatgifts.org.

No need to tell you this one is my favourite!

Cards welcome tho'!

My colleagues say I'm lucky. After winning an REM concert ticket on Couleur3, an hour programming there too and two cases of wine at the Office's Christmas raffles, I wan a ticket to go see U2 in Zurich last Monday. To boot, it was a VIP tag!

Going to the concert was a real experience. Not only because we crossed the storm of the century but because a stadium with 44,000 people all moving in sync is pretty impressive. We has packed food, drinks and the most essential a CD compilation of U2's songs to prepare properly. The people who saw us the next morning will surely remember that our voices were broken and that we looked pretty tired. Well that should tell you what kind of night that was.

Setlist:
01. Vertigo 02. I Will Follow 03. Electric Co. 04. Elevation 05. Beautiful Day 06. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For 07. All I want is you 08. City Of Blinding Lights 09. Miracle Drug 10. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own 11. Love And Peace Or Else 12. Sunday Bloody Sunday 13. Bullet The Blue Sky 14. Miss Sarajevo 15. Pride (In The Name Of Love) 16. I feel like a submarine that has lost its periscope and its radar... What a week! I, who never drinks, feel for a glass of something. Tough! No alcohol allowed on the work premises. It'll have to wait! Maybe by the time I leave here, I will go to bed directly without the drink...

Luckily the week end is approaching. I need it!

For the ones who have missed the info: it's time to get your tickets to go and see Orishas on 10 June at Caribana. The evening is almost sold out!

Apart from that, I am still wearing my winter coat and a woolen jumper. I want the Summer to come!!!!

After having extended the garden borders, we are creating a proper office and a new bedroom for guests. The latter, located in our basement will need a bit of work so that's it's cosy despite its location... One sure advantage, it is going to be the nicest room to sleep in when the Summer is hot and damp!

So, if you were a guest in our house, which colour scheme would you choose?
1 - all white
2 - light blue, light lilac and off white
3 - light green, beige and off white

Let me know what your choice would be and you will help us make a choice. Any other ideas welcome! Any on the spot consultancy also!

I'll post a picture of the room so that you can get an idea of what you are trying to work from (currently not possible as this room is full of junk).

Olé!

Just back from Andalucia where we had amazing weather. First we stayed in a delighful B&B (Casa Rural El Olivar) in the countryside behind Malaga. Right in the middle of an olive grove with a view on a small lake, it was the perfect place to kick back and recharge our batteries.

Then we went through the cities: Granada and the Alhambra, Cordoba and the Mesquita, Sevilla and the Alhambra and the Cathedral. Amazing!

We ended our trip in the "Pueblos Blancos" between Jerez and Malaga. The impression from the bridge in Ronda is kind of mesmerizing! Best not to have vertigo!

Pictures of the trip should be coming up when my new PC will be configured (and no I will not buy a Mac despite all my problem with the windows world ;-)
